What this tier includes

  • Up to 8 screens
  • A backend (e.g. Firebase) with sign-in and a database
  • An admin dashboard
  • iOS and Android from one codebase
  • App Store and Google Play submission

What can push the price up

  • A backend and admin dashboard: sign-in, a database and a panel to manage users and content
  • Two languages: every screen built and checked in Arabic (right-to-left) and English
  • More screens, workflows or integrations (an existing ERP, CRM or API) than the tier includes

Running costs you pay providers

  • Apple Developer Program: $99 a year (needed to stay on the App Store)
  • Google Play developer account: $25, paid once
  • Hosting and database: often free or low at the start (e.g. Vercel, Firebase, Supabase), growing with your users
  • SMS for phone sign-in (OTP), if you use it: per message, varies by country

Accounts are in your name and paid by you directly; we handle the setup.

How we calculate

The calculator doesn't add up made-up prices per feature. It matches your answers to one of Q Studio's published packages and shows that package's starting price and timeline. Your answers then explain, in plain words, what could move the final price above that starting point.

  • Platform decides the build: Android or iOS means a mobile app (both come from one codebase); web means a web app or site.
  • Two-sided apps, payments and live maps need a backend, so mobile apps with any of them start at the MVP tier ($2,000).
  • A web MVP with two or more of those starts at the bigger web MVP tier ($3,000).
  • For websites, the second language is part of the package price (from $350 for one language, $550 for English + Arabic).
  • Local amounts are approximate: SAR at 3.75, AED at 3.67 and EGP at 50 to the dollar. We quote in USD.

FAQ

How much does it cost to build an app in 2026?

At Q Studio, a simple app for iOS and Android (up to 5 screens, no backend) starts from $400. A mobile app MVP with a backend and admin dashboard starts from $2,000, and a full launch with up to 15 screens, user roles, push notifications and store publishing starts from $4,000. A clickable prototype of the core flow starts from $500, and a web app MVP from $1,500.

How much does an MVP cost, and how long does it take?

A web app MVP with sign-in, a database, one core workflow and an admin view starts from $1,500 and takes about 3 weeks. A bigger web MVP with 2–3 workflows, user roles and payments starts from $3,000 (about 5–6 weeks). A mobile app MVP starts from $2,000 and takes about 2–6 weeks. In every case you see a first working preview within 72 hours.

Is the calculator's number my final price?

No. It is the published starting price of the tier that fits your answers. Your final price is a fixed written quote, free within 24 hours. Nothing is paid before you approve the written scope, and projects over $500 are paid in milestones (typically 30% / 40% / 30%), each after you have seen it working.

What running costs will I pay besides development?

Third-party fees are paid by you directly, in your name: the Apple Developer Program ($99 a year) and a Google Play developer account ($25 once) for mobile apps, a domain, and hosting, which for most small projects costs little or nothing at the start. Maps and SMS sign-in codes are charged by usage. For AI agents, AI usage is paid directly to Google from your own prepaid balance.

Does building for both iPhone and Android cost double?

No. Q Studio builds cross-platform apps for iOS and Android from one codebase (mainly Flutter, React Native when it fits better), so both platforms come in the same build. The per-platform costs are the store accounts.
