A small business website should load fast on a phone, explain what you do in seconds, and make contacting you effortless. Q Studio builds business websites from $350 (up to 5 pages, one language, about 5 days), $550 for English and Arabic (about 7 days), and $850 for up to 8 bilingual pages with a blog (about 10 days). You own the domain, hosting and code. Live examples include sites for companies in the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Most small business websites have one job: turn a visitor who found you on Google, Instagram or a business card into a phone call, a WhatsApp message or a form submission. Everything on the site should serve that job. A beautiful site that loads slowly on a phone, or hides the contact button, is a brochure nobody reads.
We're Q Studio, a web and mobile studio in Giza, Egypt, building websites for businesses in several countries, often in both English and Arabic. Here's how we approach a business website, what it costs, and when you'd be better off with something else.
What makes a business website actually bring enquiries
These are the details we design around. You can use them to judge any site, including your current one.
- The first screen answers three questions: what you do, where (or for whom), and how to contact you. If a visitor has to scroll to find out, many won't.
- Contact is one tap away on mobile. A phone number that dials, a WhatsApp button that opens a chat, a short form, and a map if people visit you.
- It's fast on a mid-range phone with average data. Most visitors to a small business site arrive on mobile. Heavy videos and oversized images cost you customers.
- Real proof. Photos of your actual work, projects, clients or premises. Stock photos are easy to spot and build no trust.
- Clear services, in your customers' words. Not "integrated solutions", but "kitchen marble installation in Riyadh" or "IELTS preparation courses".
- Search basics done properly. Each page has its own title and description, clean headings, a sitemap, and analytics connected so you can see what's working.
Packages and prices
We price in USD and agree a written scope before you pay anything.
| Package | Includes | Starts at | Typical time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Up to 5 pages, one language | $350 | About 5 days |
| Bilingual | Up to 5 pages, English and Arabic | $550 | About 7 days |
| Bilingual plus blog | Up to 8 pages in both languages, plus a blog or news section | $850 | About 10 days |
| Landing page | One focused page for a launch or ad campaign | $150 | About 3 days |
Typical pages are home, services, about, work or projects, and contact (form, WhatsApp and map). For service businesses in Qatar or Oman, there's a fixed package: up to 5 pages in Arabic and English for QAR 1,300 or OMR 135, with 50% to start and 50% at handover; details are on the website package page.
Running costs are yours, and small. You pay for the domain (usually a modest yearly fee) and hosting directly, in your name. On modern platforms, hosting for a small business site often costs little or nothing at the start.
Bilingual website design, done properly
A bilingual English and Arabic site is not an English site with translated text dropped in. Arabic reads right to left, so the whole layout mirrors: navigation, icons that point a direction, forms, and the order of columns. Arabic also needs fonts designed for it, slightly different line heights, and careful handling where English brand names, phone numbers and prices sit inside Arabic sentences.
We're native Arabic speakers, so we also catch the things automatic translation misses: tone that sounds machine-made, terms your customers don't use, and text that reads fine but sounds wrong for your market. Each language gets its own page addresses and search titles, so both versions can rank. If you already have a site that breaks in Arabic, our Arabic and RTL localization service fixes it without a rebuild.
Examples you can open right now
These are live sites we built. Each shows something different.
- Strathclyde International College (UK): programs, certificate verification and enquiries, with scroll-driven motion. A site with real functionality behind it, not only pages.
- Veneto Paints (UAE): a brand and product catalogue in English and Arabic.
- Verkan Stone (Saudi Arabia): a marble and granite company with a project gallery, in English and Arabic.
- QS Audio & Visual (Oman): a B2B site for an audio-visual and surveillance integrator.
- Best Service El Gouna (Egypt): concierge and property care, with a request form designed for mobile.
What to prepare before we start
Having these ready is the single biggest factor in hitting the 5–10 day timelines.
- Your logo and any brand colors. We design the site; we don't create logos or full brand identities.
- A list of your services, with a sentence or two on each. We'll tighten the wording.
- Real photos of your work, team or premises, as many as you have.
- Contact details: phone, WhatsApp, email, address, opening hours.
- Two or three sites you like, and one you don't, with a line on why.
- Your domain, if you have one. If not, we help you register it in your name.
If writing content is the bottleneck, tell us early. It's better to launch with three strong pages than five thin ones, and add the rest later.
How the week goes
Day 0: a free short call, then a written scope, price and timeline within 24 hours. Days 1–3: a working first version online that you can open on your phone. Following days: your feedback, revision rounds (the number depends on the package, typically 1–3), content polish. Launch: connected to your domain, analytics set up, sitemap submitted, and a clean handover of accounts and code.
When we're the right fit, and when we're not
A good fit: service businesses, companies, schools, clinics, consultancies, contractors and B2B suppliers that want a fast, professional site, especially in two languages, delivered in days.
Probably not the right fit:
- You want to build and edit everything yourself, visually, every week. A website builder with templates may serve you better and cost less upfront.
- You need a large online store. A simple product catalogue fits our website packages, but a store with checkout and payments is a different project; see e-commerce development.
- You need logo design, brand identity, ads or social media management. We focus on building; pair us with a branding or marketing partner.
- Your business is in an area we don't serve: gambling, alcohol, adult content or dating, crypto or forex trading, interest-based lending, or military.
FAQ
Can I update the website myself after launch?
Small sites change rarely, so many clients send us occasional updates. If you'll post often, the $850 package includes a blog or news section designed for regular updates. Tell us how often you expect to edit, and we'll suggest the simplest setup.
Do you write the website content?
The content comes from you, because you know your business best. We organize it into pages and shape headings and calls to action as we build, and as native Arabic speakers we'll flag Arabic text that reads like a machine translation. If you need a lot of writing done, mention it in your brief so it's scoped clearly.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site we build is search-ready: fast, mobile-first, with proper titles, descriptions, sitemaps and analytics. Ranking also depends on your content, reviews and competition over time, so nobody can honestly promise a position on page one.
Who owns the website and domain?
You do. The domain, hosting and code are set up in your name, and you get the account details and notes at handover. If you ever move to another developer, nothing is locked.
How is payment handled?
Projects up to $500 have one fixed price. Larger ones are paid in milestones, usually 30% / 40% / 30%, each after you see the work. Nothing is paid before you approve the written scope.
How do I start?
Tell us what your business does, who your customers are, and which languages you need. You'll get a scope and price within 24 hours. The project planner helps, and our mobile app development page covers the next step if you later want an app.
