Custom AI Agents for Businesses in Qatar: WhatsApp Agent Packages and Pricing in QAR

WhatsApp and website AI agents for Qatar businesses: what they do, Arabic and English for Doha's mixed customers, Qatar's data law, and prices in QAR.

Updated: 9 min readBy the Q Studio team

The short answer

A custom AI agent answers your customers on WhatsApp or your website in Arabic and English, books, sends payment links and hands the chat to your team when needed. At Q Studio, packages run from about QAR 1,420 ($390) for a button bot to about QAR 7,970 ($2,190) for an action agent connected to your systems, each including setup, the first year and a chat bundle. You pay AI usage directly to Google and WhatsApp fees directly to Meta. Under Qatar's Law No. 13 of 2016, marketing messages need the customer's prior consent.

Pricing for custom AI agents in Qatar is hard to compare: some quotes are monthly per seat, others arrive only after several meetings. This page lists our actual packages in QAR, what you pay other providers on top, the Qatar-specific details an agent must get right, and when you don't need us.

What a custom AI agent does for a Qatar business

An agent reads what the customer writes or says, answers from your own information, takes a defined action and hands over to a person when it should. Picture a home maintenance company in Doha:

  1. A customer in Al Sadd writes in English at 10:40 pm: "AC not cooling, can someone come tomorrow morning? How much is the visit?"
  2. The agent quotes the inspection fee from the company's price list and offers tomorrow's open slots by area.
  3. The customer picks 9 am and drops a location pin. The agent confirms, and if the company takes a deposit, sends a payment link.
  4. In the morning the dispatcher sees a ready summary: name, area, problem, slot, deposit status.

Anything outside the company's information, or a request for a person, moves to the team inbox. The agent runs on your number through the official WhatsApp Business Platform or as a chat on your website, never through unofficial tools that risk a ban.

Arabic, English and the rest of Doha

Qatar's customer base is unusually mixed. Qatari customers often write in Gulf Arabic and switch to English mid-sentence. A large share of residents are expatriates, and many of them write only in English. Others write in Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Tagalog or another language.

Our agents work in Arabic and English, including Gulf dialect, Arabic typed in Latin letters and voice notes. We don't build or test agents in other languages, and we won't claim to. In practice we set a clear rule for those messages: the agent replies in simple English, and if the customer still can't be served, the chat goes to a team member who speaks the language. If most of your customers write in a language other than Arabic or English, tell us on the first call so we can tell you honestly whether an agent fits.

Before launch we test the agent on a sample of your customers' real questions, with personal details removed.

Working hours, Fridays and Ramadan

  • The Friday–Saturday weekend. The agent keeps answering and booking Sunday slots, so your team starts the week with summaries rather than a backlog.
  • Friday prayer and breaks. When nobody is available, the agent tells the customer a person will follow up and collects the details meanwhile.
  • Ramadan. Hours change and conversations stretch late into the night. We set Ramadan greetings, hand-off hours and bookable slots, then switch back after Eid.
  • Late evenings. Many Doha customers message late, especially in summer; the agent covers those hours.

We agree the hand-off rules with you in writing.

On the Book package and above, the agent can send a payment link inside the chat for a deposit, booking or order, and check whether it was paid.

The agent never holds money. The link comes from your own payment gateway, under your business and commercial registration, and the funds go to your account. In Qatar, make sure your gateway accepts local debit cards on the NAPS network, including the Himyan card the Qatar Central Bank launched in 2024, not just Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay. We connect the gateway you already use, or explain what to compare. Our page for app development in Qatar covers payments in more depth.

Qatar's data law and marketing messages

Qatar was the first GCC state with a general personal data law: Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection, overseen today by the National Data Privacy Office at the National Cyber Security Agency. WhatsApp chats are full of personal data (names, numbers, addresses, sometimes health or family details), so the agent is designed around it:

  • Prior consent for marketing. The law prohibits direct electronic marketing to a person without their prior consent, and marketing messages must identify the sender and give a way to stop them. Answering a customer who messaged you is one thing; sending an offer they didn't ask for is another. On the Grow package, campaigns go only to customers who opted in, with an easy opt-out.
  • Collect only what's needed. A maintenance visit needs a name, area and problem, not an ID number.
  • A privacy notice linked in the welcome message or wherever details are collected.
  • Know where data goes. Chats and leads belong to you. AI processing runs on Google's servers, which may be outside Qatar, so we document the data flow for you to review with your legal adviser.
  • No training on your chats. We use a paid AI tier, so your customers' conversations aren't used to train AI products.

We build the technical side; further obligations, for example with health data, are a question for a lawyer.

Packages and prices in QAR

We price in USD; QAR amounts are approximate. Prices are per channel (WhatsApp or website). Setup includes the build, launch, the first 12 months of running the agent and a chat bundle valid for 12 months.

What you pay to others

  • AI usage goes directly to Google from a prepaid balance on your own card, so you see every charge. We choose the smallest model that answers your content well and estimate the cost from your expected volume.
  • Meta fees apply mainly to messages your business starts with approved templates, such as reminders and offers, at rates that depend on the message type and the recipient's country. Meta changes its WhatsApp pricing rules from time to time, including how replies are counted above a monthly allowance, so we send the current rules with your quote. Website agents have no Meta fees.

How chats are counted

A chat is one conversation up to a message limit (15 messages on Reply, up to 30 on Grow). You get an alert at 80% of your chats; at 100% the AI pauses and new messages go to the team inbox until you add a pack. Unused chats expire after 12 months. A second channel gets 30% off its setup, and upgrading means paying the difference. More detail in what a WhatsApp chatbot costs.

Which package fits?

  • A shop or showroom with a few repeat questions (prices, branches, timings): Guide.
  • A clinic, salon or training centre fielding free-text questions in two languages: Reply, then Book once you want the agent to take bookings.
  • A business running "message us on WhatsApp" ads: Sell, so leads reach your sales team qualified.
  • Home services, maintenance or anything with slots and deposits: Book.
  • A business with stock or an internal system to connect: Grow.

Not sure? Use the project planner, or start small and upgrade by paying the difference.

What we can show you today

Our agent packages are new, and we won't pretend to have a live client agent in Qatar. What you can try now:

  • The "Q" assistant on qstudio.site, a live AI assistant built by us that answers from our own knowledge base in Arabic and English. Ask it in Gulf Arabic or English and try to catch it out.
  • PharmaRiwaq and Dawawin HR, our own products, which show how we design assistants inside business systems: answers with sources, limited to each user's permissions. Their public demos run on fictional data.

Agents are built the same way as our AI chatbots: grounded in your content and tested on real questions before launch. The full overview across countries is on our WhatsApp AI agent page.

When we're not the right fit

  • Low volume. A few messages a day are handled fine by the free WhatsApp Business app with quick replies.
  • Customers who mostly write in languages other than Arabic and English. We only build and test in those two.
  • High-stakes decisions. We won't build an agent that gives medical, legal or financial advice or approves refunds on its own.
  • Bulk messaging to people who never opted in. That breaks WhatsApp's policies and Qatar's data law.
  • Projects that require a Qatari commercial registration or a team in Qatar, such as some government tenders. We work remotely from Egypt.
  • Non-Sharia-compliant businesses, such as betting or interest-based lending.

FAQ

How much does a custom AI agent cost in Qatar?

Our packages run from about QAR 1,420 ($390) for a button bot to about QAR 7,970 ($2,190) for an action agent, per channel, including setup, the first 12 months and a chat bundle. AI usage (paid to Google) and WhatsApp template fees (paid to Meta) are on top and depend on your volume.

Will the agent answer in Hindi, Urdu or Tagalog?

We only build and test in Arabic and English. For other languages the agent replies in simple English and hands over to a person if needed. If those customers are a large share of your chats, we'll say so before you buy.

Can the agent take NAPS or Himyan payments?

It sends a payment link from your own gateway, and the customer pays with whatever that gateway accepts. Choose a gateway that accepts local NAPS debit cards as well as international cards and Apple Pay. This is on Book and above.

Is sending offers on WhatsApp allowed in Qatar?

Qatar's data law requires prior consent for direct electronic marketing, plus the sender's identity and a way to opt out. We only send campaigns to customers who opted in, and we recommend checking your specific case with a lawyer.

How do we start?

Send us your business type and the questions you get most on WhatsApp, or use the project planner. Within 24 hours you get a written scope and a fixed price, free and with no obligation.
